The Testament of Solomon: Music From the Sefer Shirim Shel Shir Hashirim

from the album The Testament of Solomon: Music From the Sefer Shirim Shel Shir Hashirim

Notes[edit]

  • Hebrew: צמתך - "veil"
  • Some commentators have suggested that "veil" is a prudish translation of צמתך, speculating that a more accurate translation might be "pubic area." It is noteworthy that in modern Hebrew, צמתך, translates as "intersection."
-
Behold, you are beautiful, my love.
     Behold, you are beautiful.
Your eyes are like doves behind your veil.
Your hair is as a flock of goats,
     that descend from Mount Gilead.
- Song of Songs 4:1
